On March 15 2018, the CALIBER consortium gathered for the first progress meeting at ISMB in Turin. The partners discussed the results of the first quarter of project activities and established a work plan for the upcoming months, with a focus on the configuration and implementation strategy of the CALIBER laser source.
On the sidelines of the CALIBER progress meeting, Prof. Amiel Ishaaya from Ben Gurion University (Israel) gave a seminar on “Passive Phase-Locking and Coherent Combining of Lasers”. During the seminar, the CALIBER project was also presented to the public, with a focus on its peculiar properties and small volume that make it suitable to be installed on small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
